Racial Unity Now (RUN) expresses deep sorrow over the racially motivated attack on an 11-year-old Bellingham student during a school field trip.

We are shocked and heartbroken by this act of hatred. This incident highlights the urgent need for all of us to promote racial understanding and unity.

We will be supporting efforts to help the victim, their family, and partners working as information becomes available and will update racialunitynow.org/support accordingly.

RUN calls on the community to join us in creating change.

What you can do now:

As a show of support, you can sign a letter being circulated by an organization called “BCONNECTED: BIPOC Community Connector”. By signing you are showing your support for the victim and their family, denouncing this hateful crime, calling for the safety of our black and brown children against race-based violence and harm, and standing in solidarity with the Bellingham BIPOC community.
