Our third North Whatcom County immigration networking gathering included organizational and civic leaders. This periodic, invitation-based event is designed to help us concentrate on local issues and shared goals in the support of immigrants. This particular meeting was focused on the impact of immigration enforcement actions and highlighted family separation, immigrant mental health, and safety concerns.

The effort aims to unite community leaders to support new migrants through informational sharing and relationship. Presentations at this meeting were made by local aid groups such as Catholic Community Service, school district leadership, local business leaders, attorneys, etc.

While this meeting was not open to the general public, it underscores our commitment to working collaboratively behind the scenes to ensure that all community members, especially new migrants, receive the support and welcome they deserve.

If you represent an organization or interest that would be served by participating in this event series, please reach out and let us know via the contact form.
